LG 800 Voicemail Setup - Not Working

I receive the msg "You're call can not be completed as dialed" when I press/hold 1 to access my voicemail. I have also tried dialing *555 and receive the same message. I am unable to setup my voicemail. Please advise how to access my voicemail so I can complete setup.
