Bought this Droid several weeks back and have called Net 10 at least 20 times to have the firmware and software up dated. Needless to say that calling a Foreign country is not a very good choice, they can't understand english well and I can't hear them very good either.
Anyway,, can any one help me out on updating this pile of crap that Net 10 promised was a Gem?

Hi Chrisu62. My name is NET10 Jennifer and I will be addressing your question. We cannot update the firmware and software of our phones. I believe this answers your question. It’s been a pleasure helping you. Have a good day.

Now that's what I call bologna~I think that could've been handled better from the company that's supposed to have such great reviews....anyways in Samsung model#LGL45C navigate to Setting>About Phone>Settings Update>Update Firmware, and that will update your phone to the latest software available for your device.BTW,It is quite faster if you connect to a wireless network (like at home) to do those updates, that's providing you have faster internet than the 3g network your phone already has.I internet is 3 - 4 times faster than 3g .Good Luck!

The update has to come from LGE itself. It cannot be done over your regular 3G connection, so you need to be connected to an open wi-fi network - your own or through someone who will let you use theirs. I don't recommend using the library's (if they have one) because they restrict downloads and the phone may not even be able to connect to LGE.

I have my own wi-fi connection and at 6:00 am this morning I was able to update my firmware to LGL45CT2. It only took about 5 minutes to complete the process.
