If you were watching YouTube on the 3 G data network, they can and do monitor the data usage. All of the companies that offer 3 G/4 G data monitor the usage and place restrictions if you go beyond certain limits.

Net10 specifically disallows streaming of audio or video. I at least read that part. Tethering is also disabled on Net10 phones.

The only "work around" for streaming audio or video is to do that type of stuff on your own wifi connection. Net10 has no control over my wifi OR my bluetooth. I listen to Shoutcast radio on my Optimus Net using my wifi and can do that even though my phone service lapsed. I can also go on the web, check email, etc.

No more of scam then ATT/Verizon/Tmobile calling 5GB unlimited. You want unlimited, go to Sprint. In my area it would take you 30 days to download 5GB on the Sprint network. I just left Sprint for Net10. Yes I don't like that Net10 will block certain things but if they didn't people would start using them as their primary ISP. Like it or not Net10 is still at the mercy of TMobile and ATT.

Why call it unlimited if it has a numbered GB limit? I'll never understand companies like Verizon...

I believe a class action lawsuit should be filed for those who have been disconnected from cellular service due to using too much data on an advertised unlimited plan that does not clearly specify that there really are limits on the types of data and will not make clearly available what the actual limits are.......who's with me?

I am. Sure, if you go over a certain *clearly stated* amount of data put a throttle (if the company absolutely must), but don't completely cut off all services and terminate accounts and whatever. That's just stupid. Saying it's unlimited when it's really not at all seems like it should break some kind of business law...

Also, it's an Android phone. The internet is what those are made for!

Unlimited means Unlimited. Net10 needs to be sued. There is no way i barely have 1 week with net10 and now have my data shut off already and i dont download games or music. Pathetic im in for a lawsuit.
