Switch from Net10 to Straight Talk & Galaxy Nexus

Switch from Net10 to Straight Talk & Galaxy Nexus

Postby marble » Thu Oct 25, 2012 8:32 pm

I plan on buying an unlocked Samsung Galaxy Nexus GSM phone. I currently have a GSM phone with Net10. I plan on keeping my phone number. When I have my Gnex, what will I need to do next? Can I take my sim card with my number and contacts and swap it into the Gnex? What will I need to do differently to use ST minute cards? They are essentially the same service but do you have to configure something differently? Thanks.

Hi marble. My name is NET10 Jhonally and I will be addressing your question. You can port your number from NET10 over to Straight Talk. However, you need to purchase a BYOP (Bring Your Own Phone) SIM card and a Straight Talk's $45 unlimited service card at www.straighttalksim.com. Thank you.

OK thanks for the help Jhonally. So I would just start a number port to Straight Talk and buy the minute card required and when I got the sim and minutes I would be ready to use the phone? Seems simple enough, thanks.
